Daniel A. Pontecorvo, Founding Partner & CEO
Daniel Pontecorvo is a successful medical device sales & business development executive and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience of leadership within the orthopedic and spinal device industries. During his extensive tenure at Synthes he was not only recognized as one of the top performers in sales and distribution but was also highly regarded as a key contributor to building the unique Synthes-AO culture.
In 2005 Daniel joined a fledgling Globus Medical as a key distributor, business development partner and investor. He formed L5 Surgical as the exclusive distributor of Globus Spine products in the Mid-Atlantic region. In just 5 years L5 became the top performing distributor within the company with upwards of $35 million in annual sales. He left to start Camber Medical Technologies in 2010 and also co-founded The Institute of Musculoskeletal Science and Education. Daniel is also a partner in Propel Orthopedics as well as Founder, CEO and Founder Investor in Puratec, a medical technology start-up which is developing an anti-microbial catheter utilizing a patented electronically released silver ion technology.
ROBERT MORRIS, FOUNDING PARTNER & DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Bob is also a Principal in the Institute for Musculoskeletal Science and Education, an organization providing product development, regulatory and clinical research services, as well as in S-1 Spine, the exclusive distributor for Camber Spine Technologies products as well as other orthopedic products. In addition, Bob is a Principal of Propel Orthopedics and a member of the board for Vertical Spine, Inc. Adding to his long list of accomplishments in the medical device industry, he is a very successful real estate developer and investor – entrepreneur in various other businesses.
Seth Anderson, Founding Partner & Vice President of SALES
Seth began his career in 2003 in film production and advertising. Seth has spent the last 10 years in the orthopedic industry, primarily spine, after joining Daniel Pontecorvo at L5 Surgical as a sales representative in 2005. Seth became one of L5 Surgical’s leading sales representatives and went on to found Camber Spine Technologies with Daniel Pontecorvo and Robert Morris. Seth is also one of the founders of the Institute for Musculoskeletal Science and Education, an organization providing product development, regulatory and clinical research services, as well as in S-1 Spine, the exclusive distributor for Camber Spine Technologies Products as well as other orthopedic products. In addition, Seth is a Principal of Propel Orthopedics and Anatomed, companies also in the business of orthopedic product distribution.
Wendy F. DiCicco, President and COO
Wendy began working with Camber Spine Technologies in November 2014, bringing over 25 years of executive and financial expertise to the team, primarily in the medical device and biotech industries. Wendy has served as the Chief Financial Officer for both public and private companies, including Kensey Nash Corporation, Globus Medical, and Nuron Biotech. Before entering the industry, Wendy began her career at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Philadelphia. Wendy also serves on the boards of II-VI Incorporated, SynCardia Systems, Inc. and the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Wendy is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Pennsylvania.
Michael Black, Director Of Engineering
Michael began his career as a bearing designer with Kingsbury, Inc. in 2002. Michael then entered the medical device industry with the Cervical-ATL development team at Globus Medical. Michael entered Globus as an Associate Project Engineer and left late in 2012 as a Senior Project Engineer for VentureMD. Michael was then, the first direct hire for the Institute of Musculoskeletal Science and Education as the Associate Director of Technical Services, where he established the development department to support the design needs of device companies. Michael began working with Camber Spine in January of 2015 and brings almost twelve years of medical device development experience. Michael has been in a contributing role in the development of many start-up medical device companies. He has sixteen issued patents, is listed as inventor on four additionally issued patents. Michael is a proud Vulcan, graduating from the California University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. of Science in Industrial Technology with a specialization in drafting and design.
